Questions, answered honestly

Windows shows a SmartScreen warning. Why?

Because the app is not yet signed with a code-signing certificate — those cost hundreds of euros per year and we're a small operation. The warning says "unknown publisher", not "malware". Click "More info" → "Run anyway". Every release publishes its SHA256 hashes and the app verifies it is the genuine, unmodified build at start — download only from this site or the listed resellers. Code signing is on the roadmap.

What's the refund policy?

All sales are final. Digital license keys are delivered and usable immediately, so before delivery you confirm in your buy ticket that you agree to immediate delivery and waive the EU 14-day withdrawal right, as EU law allows for digital content. Before buying, read the safety model above — and note that every change the app makes can be reverted with one click, so trying it is genuinely low-risk. Something broken on your machine? The fastest support is via our Discord — or mail support and we will fix it with you.

How many PCs can I use it on?

One. The license locks to a machine fingerprint (hashed — we never see your hardware serials), and a single component upgrade won't cost you the activation. Replacing your PC? Open a ticket in our Discord and we move the license for you — usually within a day. We handle moves personally to keep key-sharing abuse out, and it means a human looks at your case instead of an error message. Keys bought before 9 July 2026 (v2.6.0) remain valid on 2 PCs — that never changes for them.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Activation needs internet once; after that the app opens instantly with no network check blocking you — airplane mode, LAN party, offline build rig, all fine. Revalidation happens silently at most once a week when a connection happens to be there.

Will it break Windows Update, Defender or anti-cheat?

No. The safety model above is a hard rule in the code: security surfaces are off-limits. For game launch options, titles with strict anti-cheat show a warning instead of options.

Can this get me banned in games (EAC / BattlEye)?

We can't imagine how. Daito's Opti only changes Windows settings — it never touches game processes: no injection, no memory reading or writing, no modified game files. Anti-cheat systems hunt for cheats that interact with the game itself; system configuration (power plans, services, registry preferences) is what they explicitly tolerate, because every PC differs there. The one exception we handle for you: launch options. Titles with strict anti-cheat (like Valorant) show a warning in the app instead of options. No third party can hand out absolute guarantees on someone else's anti-cheat — but this tool works fundamentally differently from the injectors and overlays that cause bans.

What data do you store about me?

The license system stores a hash of your key, hashed hardware identifiers (never raw serials), a short machine hash and activation timestamps. Purchases run through our Discord, so we see your Discord username in your ticket; an e-mail address is stored only if you share one for delivery or support. Full details in the privacy policy.
